After walking in on his girlfriend cheating on him, a punk fanatic named Matt and his friend Bobby drive to California in search of a new start. However, their journey is longer and more costly than expected. Desperation sets in and the pair rob an office building in search of petty cash. But the alarm gets tripped and the police swiftly surround the building. With no other place to go, Matt and Bobby take the office employees hostage as the robbery quickly spirals into a standoff. With time counting down, Matt and Bobby scramble for a way out as their tough outlook on life is put to the ultimate test.
